Caleb and his brother Emmanuel were brought to the home by their grandmother accompanied by the nurse. The twins were premature Caleb weighing 1.5kg and Emmanuel 1.3kg respectively and they stayed in the hospital for 2 months, the children have gain 2.2 and 2.5 kilos while in the hospital. According to their grandmother, the twins were brought to the home because their mother is mentally ill and on drugs at home and she was not able to breastfeed. However, considering the mental status of the mother and the economic status of the grandmother; they are unable to take care of the children at home. Sup County Children’s Officer requested that we offer them placement in our institution.
