The mother of the twins (Cynthia and Faith) was expectant and before nine months. She felt some pain in the stomach and was rushed to Kaplong Mission Hospital. The doctors found out that she was expecting triplets, but unfortunately one of the babies had died in the womb. The mother underwent an operation and recovered well before she was discharged. After a week at home, she became sick and was taken back to be admitted at the same hospital and stayed for a few days in that hospital. The doctor found out that there was a big problem in the uterus and recommended that the lady be transferred to Tenwek Mission Hospital. While in Tenwek they removed the uterus and she stayed in the Intensive care unit (ICU) for almost one month. Later on she died leaving the twins behind. The father who was supposed to take care of the children is 71 years and mentally unstable, therefore he is not able to take care of the children. The other four children are living among relatives. Through the social worker of Tenwek mission hospital and the relatives, the twins were brought to us.
